What does " a drama-hungry culture" mean?
I'm learning English.
The other day I found an interesting expression in the online article.
It's written as "a drama-hungry culture of continuous media and instantaneous Twitter updates".

Is it that media and people are constantly looking for catchy subjects to talk about? Is this a practical exprrssion in your daily lives?

Yes, it means we love reading gossip. This is a practical expression in our daily lives.

It is a metaphor for how today's society wouldn't function without something to gossip about, or some huge tragedy to discuss. The second part of the sentence alludes to the huge part that the media plays on developing us as people- in a negative fashion.
