Is humanity finally getting closer to entering the Age of Reason?
Will previous time periods be known as "The Superstitious Age" to our descendent?

"excerpts:

A scientific study of census data from nine countries shows a steep rise in the number of people claiming no religious affiliation, and predicts that the trend could continue until religion entirely dies out.

...The countries studied were Australia, Austria, Canada, the Czech Republic, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Switzerland—chosen because they’re among the few whose censuses query religious affiliation, and have for some time."

No religious affiliation and no religious belief are two different things.

I see one problem with that article: the Netherlands don't hold censuses, and haven't for well over a century.

This makes me doubt the validity of the studies performed.

I hope so.
We need a new Renaissance.
Sometimes it seems we are headed towards a new dark age.

People aren't seeming too "reason"able to me nowadays.

oh I hope so, I probably won't live to see it die out, but I love the idea that people won't fight anymore over something that doesn't even exist. But even so, it'll be nice to know more people who I can share a conversation about the mysteries of the world without getting all religious.

How can anyone know?

Religion might be reason for some...
or maybe..people are going from religion to a different substitute.

Or maybe the "age of reason" is the biggest trick yet.

How can we know?
