.com is for Commercial websites

.net is for Network websites

.org is for Organization websites

Nothing really, it is just there to add to your site.

.com is mainly for communications
.org is mainly for organizations
.net is mainly for networking or technology

There are alot more and you can use any of the them that you want.

.com is a commercial site.
.net is a network site
.org is an organization site mostly non-profits.

.com is commercial site usually a site that is profit oriented e.g: http://www.yahoo.com which makes money through ads

.net is for network usually networking sites which are usually stressed on a paticular area like http://www.e-books.net is basically for e-book

.org is for organization both commercial and non-commercial and also service oriented E.g:www.wikipedia.org is basically a social service website dedicated to provide information to all
