What type of website tends to be the most profitable?
Thinking about creating one and was just wondering if anybody had information on what would be the most profitable type.

It's more in the marketing, facebook, social networking and joining together to market like enlightenmentnext.com. Books and articles don't cost much and can be downloaded from your site without much cost to you, but it takes some expertise in a subject. Giving out free information, books and articles, attracts traffic and you can advertise with Google or Amazon ads on your site, etc. for extra revenue.
The other sites seem to be about a pyramid type scheme where you promote a product and get people to join under you, but it seems a bit dishonest. You really have to look around and develop your intuition to come up with the next generation above what's out there or something entirely new. That requires a lot of research and no one can do it for you, I don't think, although collect what you can find. Anything I can think of has been done and is overloaded. It's awfully hard to think out of the box although the latest marketing techniques can help.
There are people who promote you at a price, but they should only get the proceeds of actual sales or they will all promise you anything. Who knew that facebook was going to take off or that a free Google search engine would make so much money. It's like becoming a rock star. Lot's of luck. Lot's of work.
Everything is going free also. I suspect that you have to provide a free service and get to be indispensable to earn from advertising alone, but it boggles my mind to find something really new.
I find that my intuition leads me into right directions though. 100 of 100 business persons interviewed credited intuition for their success. It connect you to your creative, imaginative mind, but even that needs plenty, way to much information. That is why you have to do something that you really want to do, as it often takes time and you could run out before the finish line.
It's hard to imagine it being easy, but people have stumbled and struggled onto some winners. It's a lousy life if you don't love it. Anything is. Is there any thing or subject you are passionate about bringing to the Internet?
I would study the heck out of creative thinking, imagination and intuition. Do you know that now businesses are not just hiring Masters in Business Administration, but also poets for their creativity? Oho, life is not as it looks.
