Why are some starting Ramadan on the 21st?
This whole week, mum's been saying Ramadan will be on Friday, so Thursday I was telling her what we should eat come time to break fast Friday evening and she said "Oh it's not Friday, it's Saturday"...threw me off a bit. I thought it was on the 20th. So I browse twitter, interact with some of my followers and turns out that it's the people overseas who are beginning Saturday, which is when my family is. What's going on?
I'm a Kurd and I honestly have lost faith in Allah, I hope I don't offend anybody by saying that, but fasting is just something I believe in.
Ramadan Mubarak.
Good morning/evening to all! Xxxx
Btw, I'm not fasting, sorry for confusing you guys...but during Ramadan, I eat frozen foods during the day, microwaveable stuff, until it's time for my mum to eat (since she does fast) and she was asking me if I could make her a list of things to cook so she wot have to struggle with that every evening. That's what I meant.
As far as my additional details go, I feel the "point" of Ramadan, the spiritual, mental, and physical cleansing is such a strong aura so to speak, so I do believe in that. Not necessarily the religious aspect of it. I have never fasted due to health purposes but I definitely want to when my body is physically ready and the doctor allows me...
I feel really left out honestly since I feel like I'm the only one whose lost faith in Allah...
I can't fast due to health issues.

the arabs, somalis, pashtuns, nigerians, etc. do it on friday(today). others, like pakistanis, (i can't list more cause i don't know.) , etc. do it on saturday.

why are you even fasting? i thought you lost faith in allah(no offence). fasting will bring it back inshallah

mubarak. i just want to say that you lost faith in him because you have not learnt islam. Sad when a trial comes forth, it is his way that when you feel helpless, he tests how faithful you are to him. remember this life is only a dream. anyways sis, happy fasting Smile

lol. not fasting? come on women, atleast try! it won't kill you. this is the perfect time to gain your emaan.

I started today, but even if it's not Shahr Ramadan, I'll still be rewarded I think, so works just fine for me.
