Will there be a chance in the near future that we would have a President who is born of interracial marriage?
and not a pure blooded Filipino?
What I mean by interracial marriage is those whose mother is a Filipina but father is a Foreigner. But, was born and grew up here in the Philippines? I believe, us, being Filipino who is more fond of them, be it in Sports, Media, Arts and Cinema.. who hail and put our faith to them more than their original Filipino counterparts, would not think twice to vote for one, to hold an office. Could he be a : Kanoy... father is white American. Nognoy... father is black American Chinoy.... father is Chinese Japnoy... father is Japanese Kornoy... father is Korean or whatever. That being the case, would the incumbent President show an inclination to his father's race and become prejudice? And, would he be kind enough like a Hey Joe, to give me Money. Ads |

I really don't see that happening in the near future. Ironically, for a country in which foreign worship is deeply-seeded in culture, the Philippine locals are very adamant when it comes to blood purity. Yes, most foreigners are well-received and sometimes even revered, but they're rarely ingested into social groups.

Manuel Quezon is Part Spanish.
Pnoy has Chinese ancestry. Mike Arroyo(first Gentleman) is related to the rich Araneta clan from Spain. |
