Just got a new box from dish network and the stupid thing wont let me program my remotes...?

Dumb thing has a stupid message on the tv and wont let me even program the remotes... I am ready to switch to Direct tv.... HELP

I can definitely see why it would be frustrating. To access the system information screen to program the remote, you can press the 'Sys Info' button on the front of the receiver. If your receiver doesn't have that button, press the 'Power' button and then press the 'Up' arrow button. Once on the system information screen, follow the steps below to program the remote!

1.) Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
2.) Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
3.) Press the pound (#) button.
4.) Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
5.) Test remote and see if it works.
