Will I get in trouble for this? (iPhone)?
I think this story is gonna sound unbelievable but whatever, it's true. My aunt said she found an iPhone at the mall on the benches a couple days ago & when we went to the mall again she remembered about it & had it inside her coat & took it out. When we got home she asked me to unlock it for her & i searched up everything & finally came up with something (connecting the iPhone too iTunes & entering into DFU mode) I did it & I got inside the iPhone & when I connected to the internet i received a bunch of notifications & one of them caught my eye. It said (on Messenger) *My brothers name* I was like "no way, that can't be my brother this guy was messaging" so I go to the app & I look at my supposed brother's picture & it IS him. An it turns out the guy who lost his iPhone is my brother's good friend (small world huh?) & I felt guilty knowing that I have my brother's friend's iPhone & I realize how expensive it is & I tell my aunt & we message my brother on Facebook & tell him the story & at first he doesn't believe us but we show proof & yeah BUT!!!! He said that the guy who lost the iPhone lost it somewhere else (not at the mall) but there is so much proof that it is his iPhone so we conclude that maybe someone else stole the iPhone at that other place then lost it at the mall or gave up on it since he couldn't unlock the phone ( it also turns out the phone is hacked/jailbroken) my brother tells us how to unlock it cause he is talking on the phone with the friend who lost the phone. And we check if the original "founder" took pictures by accident or left something inside the iPhone. (He didn't) well right now my brother just came to pick up the iPhone to give to the owner & he was videotaping me with the iPhone's camera! He asked me questions like were my aunt found it & how i unlocked it the first time & other stuff. Why did he do this? For proof? Will i get into trouble for that? Because what if the guy still doesn't believe us & takes it to the police & the police see the video & tries to use it against me like that I stole it or something? Help please?!
John Olsezwski: Stfu, you're violating the Yahoo A&Q privacy. I just reported you. Gtfo.
Joe.attaboy: Yes I did return the iPhone back to it's owner. Well, my brother just picked it up & I'm trusting him to give the iPhone back to his friend (owner of the iPhone).

you did absolutely nothing wrong. in fact the guy should be kissing your damn feet for being this honest and return his phone. and even if he does try to turn you in. they have absolutely no proof of you stealing it so i wouldn't worry about that to much. if i where you i'd have a good talk with the guy and tell him what an ungrateful S.O.B he is.

He's probably just trying to figure out how it happened. You returned it to him, right? You're a lot more honest than most people (especially the guy who originally swiped it). He should be thanking you.
