How can I get over an ex boyfriend?

I met my ex freshman year of highschool and I am now in my 2nd year of college & no matter what I do I cannot get him out of my head. I don't see him because he moved away, I don't have him on facebook but he's still in my head. Every song reminds me of him & I am sick of it. Any tips? Everyone says don't go to his hangouts & delete him on facebook and eventually it will go away but it's been SIX years & that hasn't worked. HELP!

Just ignore him & try to get more friends, try to yourself busy with your hobby or social work.

I would start doing things to meet new people. That could be joining a club at school, doing more activities, or just going out more. There are a lot of great guys out there and I'm confident when you find the right guy for you then that will be when you forget about this other guy.
