What to say when you add a girl on facebook that you're interested in, and she may be interested in you?

Saw a waitress at a restaurant that I thought was cute, so I asked my friend who was also a waitress from there what her name was. She said she would put a good word in for me. Down the track (2 months later) my friend messages me to tell me this girl has stalked me on facebook and is keen, only reason she didn't want to give me her number was that she had no credit and didn't want to be rude and not reply. Is that just an excuse to get out of it? So two days ago my friend said she would add me on facebook instead but hasn't yet...should I just add her? And then what should I say? lol

dude just friend request her and message her at the same time...in the message just be blunt about it...say hey saw you a while ago and was just wondering if you would want to go (insert whatever here). you were looking pretty adorable when i saw you working...let me know either way =]

now when she replies you will know....if she makes up an excuse to get out of it...then she isn't into you and just trying to be nice
