I've been texting with my ex from high school. Will he ever want to meet up?
It's been 6 years since we were "together" in high school. He's been initiating conversation via text the past couple weeks. It started out as talking on Twitter, but he gave me his phone number. He is single and I've been married for 8 months. He is the only one I've ever said, "What if?" and what if life with him would have been better? He is the sweetest guy on this planet. I don't know if he just doesn't want to meet because I'm married, or he really just wants to casually talk every day. To me, if we're not going to meet up one day, even just as friends, then I don't see the point in us talking anymore, unfortunately.

This is hard but you just got married and you should be happy with the person that you're with right now. In my opinion, you shouldn't see him or talk to him, that might make you grow feelings for him again and that's no good. If I was your husband, just thinking about my wife talking to one of her ex's would make me feel extremely jealous, angry and sad. Don't do it! I'm pretty sure your husband was the happiest man on earth when he proposed to you and you said yes! he doesn't deserve this.

I believe you are asking for trouble. In fact it seems to me that you are almost begging for trouble. As a woman I feel ya....understand exactly what you are talking about. BUT meeting up with an old flame isn't something that will likely cause your relationship with your husband to grow. So, as I see it you are really going to have to make a decision. What do you want? Which? Sometimes in life as adults we learn quickly that we can't have both.

Sidenote: The grass always looks greener/better/flush on the other side. That's only b/c he is not the one you are going through life struggles with.

God bless,
j
