Does facebook always send a notification to iphone/ smartphone users when friends are at nearby locations?
I just got a notification on facebook that two friends are at a club about half a mile away from my place. Now I'm kinda pissed..... Why would facebook randomly let me know. I mean what about their privacy? Now I'm wondering if facebook has been telling my friends when I'm at a nearby place...???

Does it?

And how do I turn this feature off? This is major invasion of privacy!

i think that person has updated that info on Facebook and he is in your close friendlist, so Facebook sent you notification.
