I know how to get the ISP address but that is pretty useless in getting anything. I ask because someone has made fake facebook accounts of me and my friends and I want to track this person's location so that I know who it is. Ive heard something about using netstat in command prompt whilst sending a file but im not sure.

if you don't know how to do it you shouldn't be its actually illegal to do it . If the person is using you pics and stuff they must know you its probably someone right under your nose

You can't. You can get their IP but it will only trace to the location of their ISP DHCP server. If this person has broken the law by harassing people or illegally posting material about them, report it to the proper authorities. Only they can trace them, and even they have to get a court order first.

To Do so we will be using “netstat†command in windows. If you want to know the IP address of a specific person on facebook or orkut or any chat service, there is only one way: Just invite or ping him for a chat and while chat is ON open ‘Command Prompt‘ on your PC (Start >Run>cmd). note: before trying this make sure you close all the other tabs in your browser. and only facebook is open. also if possible delete all the history and cache from your browser. When command prompt opens Type the following command and hit Enter. netstat -an And you will get all established connections IP addresses there. The only way i know is to use a 'Skype Resolver' which you can use on a contact that you have on skype and you can get their ip address that way. You can get into trouble if you do the wrong things though.

For tracking location you need IP address and so far i know it is impossible to find out IP address from any facebook account.
Anyway if you get IP address you can use any of very accurate IP tracers below: http://www.ip-tracker.org http://www.ip-address.org http://www.ipaddresslocation.org http://www.find-ip-address.org Good luck! |
