What is the actual difference between Democrats and Republicans?

Democrats exploit the unwashed masses, the poor, the lower middle classes, minorities, and people with social causes to gain Control and Power over us.

Republicans exploit the rich, upper middle classes, religious, industrious, corrupt and the corporate world to gain Control and Power over us.

No difference at all.

They BOTH equally Exploit others to gain Power and Control.

There is no real difference in my eyes; it's all just political storytelling.

One party, the Republicans, set themselves up as Ayn Randian businessmen fighting against the communist aggressors, whereas the others set themselves up as noble populists waging a war against a corrupt oligarchy.

And yet, BOTH wage undeclared wars and make money at your expense. They may argue over things such as social issues so they can get votes, but there are no fundamental differences between these Bilderberg Conference a-holes.

As you can probably see, I hate both parties.

Edit: I see the notion that the Democrats are for peace is still present. Who extended the PATRIOT Act? Democrats. Who signed in the NDAA? Democrats. Who expanded the drone war to six times what it was under Bush? A democrat. Who told the entire political system to blow itself and got us involved in Libya? A democrat.

They did this with Republican help, but let's not pretend they're all for peace.

Putting it from a moderate standpoint (I'm almost to the center of the political compass, just a bit to the left), the Democrats advocate personal freedom and economic restriction. The Republicans advocate economic freedom and personal restriction. The Democrats are advocates of total change, even in the constitution, and the Republicans are advocates of social stagnancy. Both parties have their good points, however: The Democrats are more accepting of all people, and the Republicans are able to defend their interests and opinions without fearing media repercussion.

Think of the Republican party as "someone" (personification) who has their own, small group of friends at school and he/she is able to fervently defend his/her culture from the other groups and who doesn't really give a flying fudge about peer pressure, and the Democrat Party as a nice, sympathetic person who anyone would like as a friend, but is kind of insecure and jumps on the bandwagon of about everything that is "cool"

IMO, Republicans believe people should keep and spend the money they earn themselves, and that government policy should be more "Christian". Republicans also have a preponderancy of going to war.

Democrats on the other hand, believe that the wealthier businesses and individuals should pay for some necessities poorer people cannot afford, and that religion has no place in public policy. They are more for peace and diplomacy and will usually not go to war unless they absolutely have to.
