I need to know how I can contact the script (the band)?
I'm in college now and I don't get to see my girlfriend as much as I like nor do I get to always take her on the most rewarding dates due to finances. Her favorite band is the Script and all their songs remind me of her. I want to contact them somehow and ask for tickets, it's a long shot but it's worth it. I can't contact them through messaging on twitter. How should I go about this?? Thank you

Seriously ? Ask them for free tickets? Hey maybe they'll come set up at your flat and play for her birthday party for free too. Never hurts to ask, right mate? It's not a long shot - it's desperate, and it's completely, totally daft. What if every band had to send every fan who asked free tickets? Try getting a part-time job and saving $100 so you can take her to a Script concert properly.

You are about 5 years too late. The Script is now a big act - they no longer own their own lives. First of all - very few (if any) bands have the authority to give you tickets because their record label or tour company owns them (the band). They are property and their ability to do shows is an asset for the label. Their playing venues and the ticketing for those venues are handled by other companies - the band has little to nothing to do with their ticketing .

The Scripts ticketing appears to all be done via Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster won't be sending you any free tickets - I assure you.

They probably have some kind of "VIP/ Fan Club" etc where you can buy meet-and-greets at shows and so forth -but this is big business. Contacting the band (or trying to) will be a total, complete waste of time and will brand you as a complete loser. Forget that idea.

Secondly - It continues to amaze me how daft you kids are at finding what you want online. Are you really that incapable of doing a Google search ? Here's what I found for you in 5 seconds. God help you when you go looking for a real job. I would not hire anyone who can't do a simple Google search. You really sound helpless and pathetic, but here's what I found.

http://www.thescriptmusic.com/us/home This is their website Start there.

http://www.myspace.com/thescript MySpace. Useless for everything except bands - so this might be a way to get a response from them.

https://www.facebook.com/thescript Facebook. Ditto - you can leave them a message (don't expect much - I doubt you'll get a response since most bands hire people to manage these sites

http://www.thescriptmusic.com/us/live/upcoming/all All upcoming tour dates

Sign up for their newsletter on the website. In that newsletter will be more ways to contact people who work with the band. You might - for example- be able to email or tweet the editor of the newsletter and get some tidbit of info you can follow--up on re: the band members. DO NOT email the newsletter editor with "I want to contact the band and ask for tickets for my girlfriend etc etc" They are trained to put responses like that in the "deleted messages" folder. Instead, contact the editor and tell him/her you'd like to interview one of the band members for your school paper/newsletter - or for the cool "Guitar Gear" page you're going to publish on YouTube. You have to have a GOOD reason to contact them and 'free tickets" ain't a good reason mate.

http://www.rcalabelgroup.co.uk/ Their record label. This is where the gatekeepers to this band live and work. You'll probably have more luck trying to contact them via their label, but unfortunately they'r not listed on the home page. You'll have to use a phone book or directory assistance.

Good luck.
