Ideas for a Gothic photo shoot?
Me and my friend Shaii are going in for a photo shoot soon and we're having a little bit of trouble figuring out what we're going to do, the photographer let us pick the theme(s).
Because we're not what you would call "regular models" we're more along the lines of the Gothic Culture.
Therefore, we were thinking of a bunch of different themes such as some Pinup doll shots,
some sexy gothic, maybe red and black theme, (my hair is red and black and Shaii's is yellow-ish blonde)
A few "Juggalette" shots, Maybe some sexy vampire shots, and some shots where we are just all covered in -fake- blood.
Any other ideas? Yes I thought of Zombies but I don't think we'll have the proper make-up to do it correctly.
Any help would be nice, Thank you!

Check out Obscuri Photography for some great ideas. Like, if you get some good blood mixed up (nice and dark, not too red, mixing cocoa powder in it looks great - check Youtube videos for how to make realistic stage blood), put it in a squeeze bottle, squeeze it out along your jaw line and let it run in rivulets down your body, all the way to your feet, it actually compliments your curves and draws attention to your pretty face and looks really great. Any scenery involving something old and rundown would be perfect.

Also, if you know anyone who can do Sugar Skull face paint, that would be fantastic. Sugar Skull face paint while wearing a corset or nothing at all but with your bits covered with your hands/arms and/or a flood of blood, whatever you're comfortable with.

Also, one or both of you soaking in a tub of blood would be awesome. A friend of mine had the most darkly beautiful shoot in a tub. Smile Take that squeeze tube and make some jagged little rivulets of blood run down the side(s) of the tub. Oh, it looks great.

Also, anything white with blood on it looks fantastic. I made a wedding dress for a zombie event out of a $15 white corset from ebay and a long white $20 tutu my friend made - ehow can show you how to make one. The veil was cheap on ebay, too, but I don't remember how much. A vampiresque shoot in a dress like that would be awesome. I poored the blood in my mouth and let it run down my front and BOY did I get a lot of attention at the event I went to.

Corsets, tutus, top hats, thigh high boots - though I'm sure you girls have your own style.

Graveyards, obviously. Any place with awesome barren tangly trees (which are of course abundant this season), stone steps, moss, tall rod-iron gates/fences. Wine glasses full of red liquid, etc. Martha Stewart, believe it or not, actually has some great ideas on homemade halloween decor that you could probably find online and create for the set... she used fruite and veggies in jars full of liquid to make them look like body parts, apples with faces carved in them dried up and stuck on branches to look like shrunken heads, cheese cloth to look like old curtains and tablecloths, etc.

Hope these have helped.

Maybe you can get some candles in there? I know I did a photoshoot with a girl whose religion was wicken! she brought candles with her and we set up some candles and blankets. There could be different colored lights, etc!!
