How can I get internet on my iTouch?

I just got it today and I downloaded apps like facebook and myspace and aim.
But they don't work.
I asked my friend and he said I have to get internet.
So, how do I get internet on my iTouch?

Its already on it, you just have to select your wifi network in settings where it says wifi connection or something like that and connect it, it may ask you for a password if your connection is locked, so put in the password if it does and then bam, you got internet, enjoy

you need wi-fi at home or you could just go to a place that has a public wi-fi connection that you could use to go on internet.

Ipod Touch works by Wifi. Wifi is a Wireless Connection Server. Mostly known to people at Linksys. Linksys is a type of Wireless Connector which is used like Wifi.

You will need to do the following:

Press the Settings button.
-Press the Wifi Button (The Very first one on the list of buttons)
--When you go to that you should see some wireless connections usually you will need to set up your own in your house for a nice and clean internet.

Places like Panera Bread have free Wifi.

Places like The Airport and Mcdonalds have Wifi connections you can pay for monthly to work in those areas.

make sure the internet is turned on.
find your wireless connection. or someone elses.
if it's protected you need a network key.
