Part of the system is down for maintenance I would think. Give it a day and try again.

Roadworks on the information superhighway are most common at the weekend because companies like to keep buisinesses sweet.

Hi I've already answered a very similar question today. See if this helps you:
You may have a serious problem here. In case the situation gets worse, get a remote hard drive and and back up everything onto it. Copy over your entire C:/ drive, all music, photos etc.
Copy all of your email address book.
Also copy over all your program files and your Favorites/Bookmarks.
It will take a while, but it's worth doing it anyway so you've always got a complete back up and you can always delete stuff later if you don't need it.

I had a similar problem a while ago when I discovered that certain things would not open or work and none of my diagnostic programs and system restore would not work.

When you have done all that and everything else has failed to solve the problem, go to Factory Restore.

Then you will have to load it again.

Hope this helps, but remember, Factory Restore is your last resort as reloading everything and remembering what you had, including all passwords, product codes etc., is time consuming and frustrating. Ensure that the first thing you reinstall is a good anti-virus program so it will scan other things as you reload them.

And - if you don't already have it, install Mozilla Firefox as your browser.

I would suggest that you get a friend who is knowledgeable about computers, to assist you.

Good luck.

Try the TrendMicro online scanner. Also try using avast! or AVG as well as RegRun.
