Were people promiscuous in the later half of the 1900s?
Basically I'm wondering if in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s were people as promiscuous as now or has there been an increase lately? I'm just wondering because it seems lots of girls are dtf on the first date nowadays.

In the 50s they probably weren't promiscuous, or... rather didn't speak as much about it. In the 60s the Hippies promoted love and for a lot of them it was quite normal to have sex with different partners. In the 80s Aids made people more cautious, but I guess lots of people have been promiscuous since they started walking on 2 legs.

People were careful how they came across in the earlier decades. Parents were a lot stricter on their children (at least from the 50s and 60s) and greatly monitor their child's leisure time spent outside the home. However, that doesn't mean anything if little Susie have sex with Bobby before her time to go home.

Aside from parental skills, society as a whole (not talking about 70s& 90s and some parts of the 60s pre liberation) were a lot more conservative and careful with their image, but you better believe all those men and women were just as whorish but had the "classy" look to throw people off. It's a lot easier to say nowadays people are willingly to screw anything and everything in site. Thanks to today's technology, you can view sexy online videos, view hundreds of images of people posing in provocative ways, and twitter posts of people unashamedly raving about their body count for the world to read. When we notice this, it's easily to assume folks are way more promiscuous in today's world than in the past.
