How to fix my internet?
I have a lenovo U260 Laptop at my disposal, and my internet works fine, except for the fact of the extra search bar I have that reads "search here" with a windows spiral logo to the left of it. I don't know how to get rid of it, and I think it's messing with my internet real bad. First with Facebook; everytime I log onto facebook, it runs excruciatingly slow, it's not even worth logging onto anymore. Secondly, when I go to search for something on the internet and then click on a link that is on the webpage I searched for it will pop up properly 6 of 10 times. When it doesn't pop op properly it brings me to some obscure site that had nothing to do with what I searched for; usually it's an add for fitness or other.
Does anyone else have a similiar problem, and more importantly, does anyone know how to fix it?

Go to your browser settings and delete it. Then get your antivirus to pick up any viruses it might have left off.

This kind of virus is called a data eater or memory hog, it just steals your memory or broadband so the hacker gets more processing power.

Download a new version of your browser, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome etc. (don't worry if you can't, all Windows versions have I.E.) but don't install it yet.

The key words here are SAFE MODE with Networking!!!

Download, (if you can't get on-line, have a friend download and copy to disc/flash for transfer) install, and then in SAFE MODE* run full scans with these programs...

http://www.superantispyware.com
http://dl.surfright.nl/HitmanPro36.exe

*** Important, when downloaded/installed disconnect from the internet ***

Then re-start.

If you can't run a scan, go into the scanner's folder and re-name the .exe file to something like 'MyFile.exe' and try in safe mode again. Some malware prevent the execution of anti spy/mal/virus scans by blocking them by name.

Reinstall your browser.

Try running a couple of on-line scans to be sure...

You should consider getting a good Anti-Virus program.
Try one of these free ones...

http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-...20142.html

***Never use more than one, active, anti-virus program at any one time***

*Note: On start up (before Windows loads) keep tapping either F5 or F8 (be aware that some manufacturers use F8 for system recovery!) then use arrow keys to highlight 'Safe Mode with networking' and hit Enter/Return, click on an Administrator account, enter the password (if you don't know it, there probably isn't one so leave it blank) and hit Enter/Return.

**Note: Malwarebytes should be run in 'Normal Mode' unless that isn't possible!
