How can I make myself invisible to the public on Facebook?

Ok on Facebook, Idk how my friends hide them selves from the public eye... For example, if you were to type their name in the search function, it wont show up unless you go under your friends and search one by one to find them... How can I do that?

that is no longer an option. Facebook removed the unsearchable option with their last update.

Just press the gear looking button on the top right corner, then press "privacy setting"
Change who can look you up. That is all
