How do i ask for a facebook?

I am 13 and have recently been thinkin about gettin a facebook but i need to come up with reasons why i should get one. Most of my friends and me hav ipods so we can just contact each other through that an i dont have siblings to back me up so wat are some other reasons to get a facebook
