How to make the photo's smaller?

I have a Canon SX500 IS and the last 3 days its been snowing. I've got about 500 pictures on my camera that I've put onto my laptop and now want to put them all onto my facebook and twitter but they are all over the 3MB limit. Is there any website or program that I can use that will make all of them smaller, not having to do it one by one?

You wanna post 500 shots??? Holy cow. Pick the best half dozen or so and post them. No one wants to look at 500 snaps from a beginner, or for that matter from anyone, at least not all at once.

I use Photoshop and the resize for web option, but I think you can do it with MS Paint or whatever image working program you use.
