Which element is most important when changing your business for the better?
Brainstorming Simplicity

The New Year is here already. However, in order to set the proper pace, a look back is imperative. Last year we strived to achieve a much-needed component in business and life – simplicity. But I am not sure this goal was truly fulfilled. I am not discouraged, though. I now realize we might have the wrong focus. Not all is lost. We did accomplish something – change. Change was the real mantra of 2012. And it is that “change” which prepared us to seriously embrace simplicity in 2013.

A complete overhaul is no longer a good idea, but a necessity. It only makes sense to change in a way that will make everyone’s lives easier, more productive, and funner (I know that’s not a word, but it was easier than saying “more fun”).

So I decided to brainstorm a few ideas on how we can make things simpler…

1.Question the potential order present in the chaos
2.Redefine the issues
3.Strive for results
4.Make peace a priority
5.Purge the mess
6.Leave room for creativity
7.Embrace space
8.Let go
9.Reverse bad habits
10.Check bad attitudes daily (Note to self: start with self)
11.Grudges are antagonistic to growth
12.Plan. Prioritize. Implement.
13.Be more proactive and less reactive
14.Know when to ask for help
15.Baby steps are not embarrassing
16.Endeavor to leave a legacy

Did I leave anything off the list?

I’m excited about our commitment to SIMPLICITY!

KNOW YOUR OUTCOME!!! Everything flows from knowing your outcome.

That list is good, but if you don't know exactly what you want, how will use "redefine the issues" or "plan, prioritize, and implement?"

After this I would place "Create singular focus." If it doesn't ad to that focus, it gets edited out. Even if it's an otherwise good idea.
