Amateur psychologists - What does it mean when people change their Facebook photo frequently?

I know several people who do that a couple of times a week. I've had the same one since I signed up for Facebook several years ago. Opinions?

People love to live in the "now" and Facebook makes us all very vain. People change their pictures so that the world knows that they are out there doing cool things. They want to make themselves look fun and diverse and popular. That's basically what Facebook is. Profile picture changes show up on news feeds as well which causes them to get a lot of "likes." This is another reason, people want profile pictures that get a lot of "likes" so they look better.

It's a matter of personal preference. I never bothered to change mine, but I know people who do this often. It may have to do with finding better pictures, or using more recent pictures.

First: if a person is in Facebook, that says they need constant reassurance from strangers, they somehow seek attention but are afraid to ask for it in person.

Second: if a person LIVES in Facebook, it means they've lost 80% to 100% of their real lives, which is a sign of serious damage to their real persons.

Third: if that same person keeps changing their Facebook photo frequently, it means that, besides all the above, they are kind of unstable -or VERY unstable, and don't have a well-defined image of themselves.
