How can I get more people to send me asks/messages on Tumblr?

So I have 1,122 followers but I NEVER get any messages.. Is there any websites like Tumblr Plug that like promote you and some how, magically make people ask you stuff? Ahah..

Well I don't know what Tumblr is, but the best way to get responses is to say or ask things people can reply to, or will WANT to reply to.

Some suggestions:
Make statements & give opinions.
Ask questions yourself.
Give answers to other people's stuff.
Write in a way that shows an interest in other people.

Many people post a question (to other sites) just hoping someone will answer them. A bit like this site. But often when a question is asked on other social media sites people don't so much want to answer the question, they want to comment on YOUR views on the question.
