Why is facebook notifiying me about 1 persons activity?

Why is facebook notifiying me about 1 persons activity?
There is one person on my friends list it notifies me when they do a certian activity but only that activity will it notifie me. Why? They are not set as close friends and I'm not subscribed or anything, so what is up? Glitch in the system?

This happend because u have selected him as the best friend. Go to your friend profile,in the corner of the timeline photo u heve FRIENDS. Click there and untick "get notifications".

Sounds like a glitch. Facebook always messes stuff up.
