how do I stop people who aren't my friends seeing any of my facebook pictures/wall posts etc?
I'm applying to university at the moment and I know that some admission tutors have been known to double check applications against Facebook, just in case they do how do i stop them from being able to see any of my wall posts and photos? I've tried it already but when i go on 'see my profile as the public does', they can still browse my photos and wall posts? I know i'm probably being paranoid but better safe than sorry!

Go to your account, in Settings it says something like privacy and you just click on the options that strangers can only see x stuff.

Easy solution is to hind your profil, rather than changing the privacy statement of each individual post. So that public can't find your profile unless they've the unique URL to your profile, to do that, goto "account settings", then "privacy" -> "how to connect" -> then choos who can see my timeline by searching my name(or similar), then set it to "Friends(only)". If successful your friends can only be view your profile by typing you name on the Facebook's search engine.
Hope you'll be successful. Good luck. |
