Photoshop free editing apps for girls?

Lots of girls on facebook edit their photos, mainly their face (I.e. make it look clearer, brighter etc) I want to know how to make your face look better without using photoshop. Also teeth whitening, eye brightening, dark circle remover or even an app that let's you add makeup. Anything please, thankyou!

Gimp2 its free and good.you just have to take a lot of time editing and practicing just like on photo shop and you can do so much more than just edit faces.
