There's a girl in school, we have mutual friends. I thought she was very pretty and we might get along, but she always seemed to ignore me - like she didn't like me and we had barely met!

I went to an event a few weeks ago - we were dressed up. She looked terrific and was talking to a few people. It was casual and I walked up to say hello, and acknowledged the people she was with. I looked back and she had just walked away! She didn't say goodbye to who she was talking to! I'm like, why does this girl hate me?!

Recently we were at a bar and were sitting near each other - it was obvious I would try to start a conversation. She was fixing herself up, adjusting her hair, trying to look good...we didn't have a lot of time to talk, but she was really focused on our conversation (even when everyone else was loud and joking with each other)...Honestly, I'm a tall, good-looking guy, and there are girls that like me, I don't know why I didn't realize that maybe when a girl avoids you she actually likes you.

Then the other day we saw each other walking down the hall. Our eyes locked. Today it happened again. We passed each other and I said "hows it going". I was nervous. She just stared at me.

The last thing, she's showed up a couple times on the "people you may know" section on Facebook, though I've never emailed her on have anything in common other than common friends, (which everybody has) - so I think she might be checkin me out (a lot of people think thats part of how people end up on that list).

So yahoo advisers...does it sound like she may like me? What should I do if she has a bf?? I know its only a few interactions but i think there is real chemistry- maybe why she seemed to not like me and avoid me. lol

To answer your question, its a pretty small sample size to say that she likes you. Just try to talk to her more, befriend her even. That way you will get a better idea. How much someone checks out your Facebook profile has NO effect on people you may know.

If she has a boyfriend, just try to get to know her better, make her think that you are better than him but be respectful.
