How to pump myself up to talk to this girl?

Theres this girl who i find very attractive. We both play volleyball on varsity, which is how i first met her, at volleyball camp. At lunch, our groups of friends play volleyball together, and lately i cant stop thinking about her. So today, i told myself that when she came online on Facebook, id start a conversation with her. So much for that! When she came on, i totally chickened out and now im very mad at myself. How do i pump myself up to talk to her?

You could maybe start out asking if she had a certain( made up) teacher for a class and ask what the hw was. She'll be like "umm no I don't have him/her sorry." And you could be like "oh wow, your lucky she/he SUCKS!" And she'll be like "lol" and there ya have it just make her laugh and don't be a wimp!
