when should i get a 2nd hermit crab?

I have had my hermit crab for a month and a half. In a en gallon should i get another hermit crab? I am probably going to get a medium sozed one. Will two fit in a ten gallon?

you should have gotten another one from the start; hermit crabs don't do well alone, they are social animals, and will actually get depressed. so after the one recover from molting get another one. from personal experience, hermies are best kept in groups of 3-4
