Once i get my Galaxy Note 2, what should I do with my first Android phone?
I've had my iPhone 4 for about 2 years now, and really don't like it. I was wondering what some of your favourite Android apps are and what i should expect ect.

I've had an HTC Wildfire S for a couple of weeks once, while i was waiting for my iPhone to come back from being repaired. But hated it too much to really delve into the Android OS.

Apart from rooting the device, what should i be doing with it? What Android only apps do you now rely on immensely?

Thanks.
I've just realized how poorly worded that all was. The Galaxy Note 2 is going to be my first Android phone. I'm wondering what i can do with said device. I'm not wonder what i should do with a previous Android device.

I hope that clears it up

sell or recycle it after all data is erased, several times. Just do not throw it away.

Sell it for a reasonable price.

Aha... I too, was a man of Apple. However, when my 3GS was due for an upgrade, I was planning on getting the i5, however, I was amazed by the Galaxy S3, and bought that instead. I'm not ever going back. Good choice, you'll love it. So, some cool Android-only things that an iPhone user will like? Here we go:

1: A launcher. The part of your phone with all your apps. The "home screen" While your S3 will come with Touchwiz, you can get other launchers to change the effects of the scroll, change the icon grid size, add gesture controls, and more. Personally, my favorite is Nova Launcher. It has about 10 scroll effects (paid version) or 2 scroll effects, (free), great gesture support, (like, I can swipe up on the home screen to instantly go to Facebook, down to go to the camera.) and more. Give it a shot!

2: A lockscreen customizer. This lets you add all sorts of cool sliders, shortcuts, widgets, and clocks to the lockscreen. My personal favorite is WidgetLocker.

3: Widgets. Widgets are essentially apps that are open on your home screen, so you don't need to open the actually app to see your info. My favorites: Flipboard, ESPN, NY Times, etc.

4: Live wallpapers. Although the Note comes with a few live wallpapers, there are some really cool ones in Google Play. These are wallpapers that actually move behind your icons. Cool.

And the best thing? You can't do any of this on an iPhone!
Enjoy!
