how do i get rid of a facebook virus?

i got this message from a bunch of people saying "hey i saw you on tv". so i opened it, and now i am having problems with my computer. a couple of people have said that their having the same problem. So now i found out that it is sending a bunch of messages with the same "hey i saw you on tv' thing, and i'm worried.
My computer is going really slow, and twice now it has gone to a blue screen that says a bunch of stuff on it. I don't know what to do, any advice?
