Do you mind having your personal information secretly collected and used to further a political agenda?
http://openchannel.nbcnews.com/_news/201...snhp&pos=2
Excerps from the article: "Obama supporters like this woman who showed up to cheer at a campaign event in Melbourne, Fla., on Sept. 9, may not realize how much personal data the organization collected, or what it's doing with it now." "Anybody who contacted the campaign through Facebook had their friends and “likes†downloaded. If they contacted the campaign website through mobile apps, cellphone numbers and address books were downloaded. Computer “cookies†captured Web browsing and online spending habits." "Organizing For Action (OFA), the advocacy group set up in recent weeks by the president’s top political aides, has already acquired access to the database under a leasing agreement with the Obama campaign." "As an opening salvo, the group on Friday urged the president’s supporters to call members of Congress in support of Obama’s gun control proposals, even offering a sample script of what they should say." So, Obama-bots....please explain to me, again, exactly how YOU are not sheep as I watch you being led around like the blind and repeating what you are told. Yes, Gary F, you are half correct. I DID lose. But, so did they. And so did the entire Nation. The big difference is that I understand this. Yes, Gary F, you are half correct. I DID lose. But, so did they. And so did the entire Nation. The big difference is that I understand this. Ads |

Every organisation data mines social media. Your information given freely on Facebook and YA will, at some point in the future be used to target you for products, votes and just generally useful information about you and others, who think like you.

Wow, Obama is pretty much telling these people what to say and do.
I bet half of them listened to him too. |

Libs enjoy being morons. This kind of stuff pleasures them. They don't mind at all.
How can people who do not value personal information or privacy be expected to care that they are being used |

All political groups do this. That is why I am very careful about what I like etc using social media. Once you make the contact you are giving your permission for them to contact you.

Lol! It would take a very special sort of fool to not realize both sides are doing the same thing.

The RNC uses the same data groups as the DNC does.
In 2003 the data was sent offshore.Way to go. They both are simply corporations that make money. It is information, this information can be and is used to further whatever aims that party has interests in. I do not like either party, so I opted out, not that it will do any good. But it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling when I do and that is ok, for now. |
