How much time should you give someone to follow you back on twitter?

How much time should you give someone to follow you back on twitter?
I would like to know if they should get one day, or up to a week before I unfollow them. I understand not everyone posts everyday and there are some people who do not like to follow everyone. What do you think?

i only go on twitter every now and then, so i might not follow back for like a week, id wait a while and then unfollow them.
