I'm in Australia & imports have killed our country, same with yours obviously. Cheap nasty & bad quality products & produce imported & we export our top rates products & produce. Say what!? Yep, what the hell! Companies, corporations & mainly small to medium businesses are closing down everywhere & jobless on the rise. All for a quick dollar. Each country should have a limit, ad most countries are self sufficient & can rely on their own land & skilled workers. Money is evil, but mainly the people who treasure it the most.

You have to produce what people in the USA want if you want to sell stuff. I buy cotton unitards off ebay australia because I can't get them in New Zealand. If New Zealand made them then I'd buy one. The ones I buy are made in the USA, in California, and they sell direct to the public, worldwide, over the international ebay australia web site. I pay by Paypal and they only take a couple of days to arrive from the USA.
The world wide web is changing the way people buy.

there isn't much we can do about it, corporations cannot be forced to produce in the US and there's not much government can do to keep jobs here




the truth is that in order to keep jobs in the US we would have to

1. cut corporate tax rates to near 0%
2. eliminate minimum wage
3. get rid of child labor laws
4. get rid of factory safety laws
5. get rid of EPA regulations


and probably a lot more, any one of which would destroy our country's values

Do more complex manufacturing. Germany survived. There are rich exporters that are surviving.

The future reality by the way is automation becoming increasingly more complex. Jobs will be leaving China... to come back to your country as automated labor.

My apologies, but in certain arenas such as automobiles, the Japanese justified their wages with their product.

I don't blame your workers, necessarily. I blame the people above you for not working more with you to develop a better product.
