how can i connect my new tv to my dish network remote?

I just purchased a new TV and i want to program my old dish remote control to my new tv. how could i program it? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Hi Nina, my name is Kim and I am part of the DISH Social Media Department. I will be happy to assist you by providing you the information you need. Once you have obtained the codes that can address to your television you follow this procedure to program the remote. (Which is the procedure provided on the first link)
Press and hold the clear TV button at the top left hand side of your remote for 5 seconds (all the other clear buttons will light up) once this happens enter the code followed by the # button on your remote, the clear TV button at the top will light up 3 times, this means the remote has been programmed. You can verify the remote has been programmed by trying to up the Volume, once you verify it works be sure to press the SAT button at the top left once (to set remote back to SAT mode and avoid other problems) Feel free to contact me at kimberly.escobar@ dish.com if you need further assistance.
