Do I have a virus on my computer?

So on google chrome when you open a new tab it shows you your new tab page with like your most visited sites and stuff but now when i open it its just blank and when i click on a chat box like on facebook its highlited blue. i re installed chrome and i ran a malwarebytes scan and "no maliciou software was found" i dont know what to do. the blue hughlited thing also happens on internet explorer and i dont have mozilla

What did you recently install? Google it and put the word virus after it. If you didn't install anything, It might be your computer.

If you delete your internet history (clear browsing data) , you also delete your "most visited sites" from the new tab page. They are soon restored if you visit them often again.
