Has anyone else experienced problems with their mac and the caps lock key?

My caps lock is very temperamental When I try to type fast i SUDDENLY LOOK BACK AND REALISE i've been typing like this for ages then i have to go back and change it all. mY CAPS LOCK SOMETIMES DOES NOT RESPOND WHEN i press on it. And when I hit it when i'm typing quickly it only works the second or third time of pressing it. Do I need to have someone look at it or do you think I could fix this myself. I have typed this without going back and altering my capitals or lower case or changing anything. This thing makes me so angry and is becoming time consuming when I'm trying to work. iTS REALLY ANNYOING ME.
I'm not someone who struggles with literacy i know where my capitals should belong and if you look at my past questions you will see how concise i usually try to be when typing. Who knows maybe it's me and i just can't type. Any help?
