How can I make my youtube video more seen?
Does tagging make the video pop up in more places. I don't know how to make my video pop up on the right page. I need it on the first page if key words are searched. What can I do?

put popular tags that have nothing to do with anything. like if your video is about yahoo put tags like miley cyrus. that way when people search miley cyrus. your video will be in the results

Well you can put a good title or an eye-catching thumbnail in your video. Like for example, u might want to put in the title ''lol'' because most of the time people are bored and they will most likely type in ''wth, wtf, lmao, etc.'' Hope this helps.

Ray William Johnson puts up a video twice a week, right? 5 million people see each of his videos with in a few days time. After those 5 million people finish watching his video (or whoever) here is how to have your video as the "up next" or at least high up on the related videos list.

Sound too good to be true? Go look at the stats on my videos (channel link below) and notice all of my views come from Smosh, Ray William Johnson and Failblog's related videos. Mystery Guitar Man (JP) got started like this. Outback Zack and other semi-famous You Tube partners do this.

I also do this so the related videos to my videos are not one of my competitors selling remote control lawn mowers.

I am not sure what this "technique" is called. I call it "latching."

1) Find a video to latch to. It has to be fresh; uploaded within a few hours is best. It will show 310 views and have a zillion likes and comments. This is because You Tube only updates views every 6 hours on popular videos. The best way to find one is to ONLY subscribe to "You Tube Stars" who upload on a regular basis like clockwork and check your subscriptions when it is getting close to Go Time.

Before you can get in, you have to relate your channel to his/hers in the eyes of the You Tube search engine.

2) Build as many back links as you can relating your channel to his/hers. Go to Digg, StumbleUpon, Squidoo, Backpage, eBay, forums, blogs, anywhere that uses DO FOLLOW back links. Links on You Tube and social networks like Facebook ar NO FOLLOW. For instance, sell something on eBay, craigslist, and backpage related to your video. Embed your video and throw a link to your channel and his in the ad. Use some of his common tags in the title of your ad. It has to be related. If it gets reported as spam, you will defeat the purpose and all sorts of red flags will be associated with your you tube channel in the eyes of search engines. The bigger the web site that links the two of you together the better. eBay being the most sought after. Make the ad description long and full of words search engines and actual people will want to read. Spelling and correct sentence structure is a must. Search engines are smarter than you think. Do not ever attempt to "out-smart" a search engine.

Learn HTML for creating a hyper link

<a href="YOUR CHANNEL or VIDEO URL HERE">HIS MOST COMMON TAGS HERE</a> Never make the same hyper link over and over. Mix it up a bit. Use his tags sometimes with your channel and sometimes with your most popular video. Use his channel name, etc.

Putting a hyper link with your channel and his together on a human moderated big web site like eBay and have it stick is really helpful in latching videos.

Once you have a lot of back links relating your videos and channel to his videos and channel, you don't have to keep doing it. If you spam, your channel will not show very many places at all. Be careful. Do not spam eBay or any other site. It is best to leave them alone if you can not relate your videos to an ad.

Now you have chosen a popular star you want to latch to, and learned his routine for uploading. You have all sorts of strong back links linking your channel to his in the eyes of search engines. You are ready to make it happen.

3) Latching time. Let's say he just posted a video called "Tree Burgers Eat Cats??" two hours ago. Open up two windows on your browser. One has his video pulled up and the other has your video settings page opened up. Copy & Paste his tags as your tags and 9 times in your description. Paste his video's URL in your description. Use his title exactly as he did in your title in addition to yours.

If he uses quotations to define compound words in his tags, do not do the same. It seems you would want to but I have found it is best not to.

You will have to be consistent with latching. The first two may not show up on top. Three in a row of latching before You Tube updates views, you are in!

Note: Sometimes your video will "stick" meaning it will stay there after You Tube crawls several times. Normally your video will slide down out of sight after a couple of days. Sometimes, it sticks. I think it has to do with viewer reactions.
Also, Ray William Johnson doesn't like this. he has recently starting using "youtube videos" as his tags on all of his videos making it next to impossible to latch.

There are about ten people who do this regularly and are your "competitors" Whoever's video seems more related to You Tube's search engine gets the higher up spot and getting more views. Keep an eye open for videos that are going to get a lot of views from a "non-star" For instance, if you stumble upon a video about breaking news, latch it. If you don't have back links, build a few on a squidoo lens at least. With no competitors, you will get seen very well.
