How do i uninstall Silverlight on my mac?

I want to watch Netflix (i used to be able to on my computer) and it says i need to download Silverlight (which I already have). So I tried downloading it but it gives me this error "You cannot install Microsoft® Silverlight™ Browser Plug-In on this volume. A newer version of this software already exists on this volume." So I tried uninstalling my version, then downloading theirs but no matter what i do I still get this message. Help!
