Gay marriage question?
Ok so this guy on Facebook was saying about gay marriage and that if it is legalised then it would generate more money for Church organisations. I thought about this and i couldn't think of how it could.
Also do you agree that if it is legalised in one country, the population of said country will go up, causing conseqences which some people do not realise, e.g. unemployment levels rising, increase in bullying ect.

I just believe that this issue is a lot more complicated then people may age believe (Im 16)

It generates money for church organizations because people pay a church to have their wedding & reception there, & pay a pastor to officiate the wedding. It isn't free.

You obviously think too much!
Why not go and have a nice little lie down until your head stops hurting?
Nothing you have just said makes any sense at all!

Gay. Nature's way of population control.

Pfft..Or, something completely random

Either way, Gay is a perfectly natural phenomenon...Not for me, however, I like the form of a good woman far too much!

I really hope you don't read whatever you see online. The "guy" doesn't know what he's talking about. Most churches won't perform gay weddings, so there's no increase in income there.

And haven't you had the 'birds and bees talk' from your parents? Two people of the same sex can't reproduce, so how would the population go up?

BOB W wheres your proof of that statement? I dont watch porn and I'm for gay people beeing allowed to marry.

If Gay people cant be married in a church and get a civil partnership...then where do you think the money will go? If they were allowed to msarry in say church of england, the money woiuld go to...Church of England.

How would gays being allowed to marry increase the poulation majorly? I am baffled by that statement. The ability to marry your same sex parttner wont allow them to magicly have children without the use of ovaries/sperm. I dont understand how you mean. If you could expand on that I could try to give better answer.

I think the issue is very simple. People are gradually moving away from religious institutions because they dont change quickly enough. If the religious institutions like the Church of England go against this they will be left behind. Atheists and agnostics are rising throughout Europe because people want to question what happens in life more, than just letting a select few in religious institutions make the choice of how you live your life as they depict their ideal of what God told humanity to live by a particular principle. Gays have as much a right to get married as a straight couple.

The Conservatives look backward and split which is weakening their party. Some want gay marrige some hate the idea of gay marrige and look as old fashioned as the Republicans.

Merely my thought. Wonder if anyone agrees?
