Do Samsung Galaxy Aces have 3g network?
I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace (S something can't remember the rest) anyway, when I first got it in March last year it had 3g on it or whatever network it is. So when I gone out I could use Facebook and go on google play and the internet on it while I was out but I had to configure something first in order for the internet to work without my home wifi. But now that 3g or whatever it was doesn't seem to work as soon as I enter the Facebook app it says ''no internet'' and doesn't load the same with google play and the internet on it when I'm out it only works when I'm in my house and connected to my wifi. How do I get it to work again? I've tried going into wifi settings but there doesn't seem to be anything there. But in March when I had to configure something it was up at the top where all your notifications are, but there isn't anything there about 3g. My friend has a Samsung but don't think it's an ace and he gets 3g or whatever it is when he's out and he can go on google play. Please tell me if you know how to get this sorted! Thanks

Yeah im using one now i dont bother with wifi it works well enough on its own just a bit slower maybe. Press and hold the power key untill a menu appears select "data network mode"and from there you get to activate or deactivate your 3g.

Samsung Galaxy Ace features 3G. What you should do is one of the following or all:
1. Make sure your APN (Access Point Name) is set up. Go to Settings > Wireless & Network > Mobile Networks > APN or Access Point Names. From there press the options button and select new APN. And then fill in an APN name (any name like O2, ETC, AT&T or similar) and in the second field write the actual APN (like etc.com, wap.blah-blah.com, you can get this info from your carrier).

2. Turn on Mobile Data or Use Packet Data/Enable Packet Data. To do this go to Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks and you should see it in the first choice. Make sure that green think is ticked to be sure that its on.

3. Turn on 3G or WCDMA. To do this go to the same place as step 2. From there find Network Mode/Network Type or some thing similar and choose GSM/WCDMA or DUAL mode or HSDPA or something related to 3G.

One of these fixes should work for you and if they don't I am sorry I couldn't help. And sorry for not being specific, I haven't used the phone for quite some time.

Yes all the variants of the Galaxy Ace are 3G phones. As far as getting it to work, you'd have to get the settings from your carrier.
