Corinthian,

To disable/enable the Dynamic Acceleration on your Inspiron 1440 you will need to start the computer and press the F2 key to enter the system setup options. Once you are in the setup go to the Performance Tab and then down to Dynamic Acceleration. Here you will be able to Disable/Enable this option. Save the changes upon exit by pressing the F10 key.
