Legal notice of settlement of class action from FB?

Ok so I got an email about a legal notice from fb. I'm I being sued or what I don't think I did anything wrong. Can anyone explain this to me? Thanks

IF it is real, a notice of settlement of a class action suit is simply telling you that a certain company has to pay back those affected because THEY did something wrong. Sometimes they ask for your permission to represent you if you were affected. HOWEVER...AND REMEMBER THIS...generally speaking, you would receive a notice of this kind in snail mail, not on the net. Like another answer said...it could be a Spam...Scam. Do not give anyone permission to do anything for you on the net, nor should you give them any private information such as social security numbers, bank account numbers, or even your home address or phone number. If it is for real, they already know what they need to know.

I got a similar email a couple hrs ago. It's probably spam. It looked like this:

NOTICE OF PENDING CLASS ACTION AND NOTICE OF PROPOSED SETTLEMENT
ANGEL FRALEY V. FACEBOOK, INC.
You are receiving this e-mail because you may have been featured in a "Sponsored Story" on Facebook prior to December 3, 2012...

I got this e-mail too and i have no idea what it means

I just got the same thing. I nearly had a panic attack, but then I came here and realized "Oh wait." It's a fake. You have nothing to fret about. You should really ignore things like this. ^_^

Everybody who is saying that the lawsuit is fake is INCORRECT. The lawsuit, and its related notification are NOT A HOAX.

What you received is a notification regarding the recent Angel Fraley Vs. Facebook lawsuit. This is a real lawsuit, partly regarding the use of ads on Facebook.

Now, you don't need to worry about it. The lawsuit is not against you, and you will not be harmed by it. The lawsuit is against Facebook.

To find out specifically why you have been notified, review the message carefully. It may have something to do with Facebook having used your name in a sponsored post. You and many other people have received similar notifications.

In any case, again, it's nothing for you to worry about, and it isn't fake.

Edit: I can't guarantee that the specific email YOU received was legitimate. But this lawsuit is occurring, and many Facebook users have been notified. So it likely is legit. But again, I can't guarantee that.
