That sounds fishy to me. Pepsi is obviously a company with enough money to hire specific models for its ad campaigns. Why would they be going through Facebook pictures, etc., looking for something they can use?

Sure why not. Just keep in mind that they might make millions for the pittance they're willing to offer. Don't take their first offer. Instead try to squeeze them for all you can while their lemons are still ripe. Be nice though. Good luck!

Edit: Yeah I agree with everyone who thinks it might be a scam. You should check out the agency or whomever it was that sent you the email thoroughly before signing up for anything.

Scam, its more than likely a fake, my sister-in-law had something similiar happen to her, and they ended up stealing their money from their bank account

It's a scam. Why? It sounds too good to be true.

DO NOT send them any info. This is NOT from Pepsi - it's a Nigerian money mule scam that has been targeting people on modeling and social networking sites

If they emails are NOT from @pepsico.com then you are not dealing with anyone from Pepsi. All Pepsi company emails are from @pepsico.com

This scam has been going around for months

While these say billboard instead of ad, it's the same scam. As soon as the word billboard starts appearing in scam warnings on Google they'll change it to an ad or website or something else

They will send you a fake check asking you to deposit it, keep a certain amount of money for yourself, then wire the balance to a photographer or agent or makeup artist or some other third party through Western Union or Moneygram. Three weeks later your bank calls to say the check you deposited bounced and you owe them the full amount of the check. In the meantime you just sent almost $2000 of your own money to some scammer with no way to get it back. Then the police show up at your door and arrest you for bank fraud, and you are also put into CHEX Systems which prevents you from opening any new bank or credit card account for 5 years

And you NEVER give your home address to anyone you have never met for any reason

A call to Pepsi's main number http://www.pepsico.com/Contacts.html and ask for the Pepsi Marketing Department will confirm they have nothing to do with this and criminals are falsely using their company name to scam people
