Why does my PC lock when I try to log on to facebook?

I have a PC Guard in place and have run a virus scan but its all clear. The entire internet explorer locks up and has to be shut via the task manager. The rest of the pc remains fine.

Try using opera instead on internet explorer it is free and nealty 7 times faster. you can get it here:

Try using Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/
like AdBlock, All in one sidebar and Download Statusbar, you'll find yourself wanting to use it instead of internet explorer.

Your pc is low on Ram, and the other two answerers are correct aswell, you need to update your browser to either opera of firefox - both are good, and less memory intensive than explorer.
