How do I retrieve deleted friend request from a Facebook user?

I need to find out the name of the user who last added me on Facebook but deleted her/his friend request. We need to check it for privacy purposes.

You friend them

You only ignore their friend request, it doesn't delete them fully. If you click on the friend request area in the top left. Click on the 'view all' bit at the bottom of the drop down list and it'll take you to all your ignored friend requests. If you delete requests in this area, they will be permanently deleted though.
