How do I stop the Facebook chat spam?
My Facebook chat keeps sending out "funny, have you seen this pic you are tagged in! wow lmao goo.gl/Ru7SD"

I've already changed my password, removed all apps, and ran my anti-virus but it's still doing it.
Help?
I do use Firefox. The newest version.
Private.

Maybe it's because of a recent app you've used.

Quit using Internet Explorer. Firefox is free and so much better! I hate people like you who don't do such a simple thing. Gah, I've been getting spam chat messages from too many people.

Internet Explorer = security problems that are easily taken advantage of.

Ok, then, sorry about the IE comment being applied to you. Do you have a public or private internet connection?

Hey, LSU guy. Re-read her question. HER account has been SENDING spam. *facepalm

Katie, sorry, I am now out of suggestions. Good luck.

I think the below points will clear your doubt.

If you get a spam chat in Facebook, most probably its not your fault. It means that your friends account is affected by the application and it is sending spam chat to you.

You did the 3 important steps of Facebook spam removal
(http://www.bluefacebook.com/how-to-remov...ook-spam).
So most probably it is not because your account is compromised, its because your friends account is compromised.

And here is the advice from facebook.
"If a friend’s account has been taken over and used to send spam, you should follow these steps immediately:

-Tell your friend to check out this Page and follow the steps above.
-mWarn those who received the spam not to click on it, and to delete it from their Walls and Inboxes."
